Sansepolcro is a city of art, rich in history and culture, where, around 1412/14, the painter and mathematician Piero della Francesca was born. Nowadays, Sansepolcro offers a civic museum that bears his name and where some masterpieces painted by many internationally renowned artists, are housed. The most important part of the museum is the Hall of the Conservatives, where in 1460 Piero della Francesca painted “The Resurrection”, symbol of the city.
